With defacto leader DeAngelo Hall still out with a torn ACL, Swearinger has filled in his role admirably, both with his vocalism and non-stop intensity.

The Redskins secondary as a unit suffered from a lack of confidence at times last season, but judging by Swearinger's demeanor, that won't be an issue in 2017. Swearinger has been hyping up his teammates regularly, but he himself has been hyped up by his head coach on more than one occasion.
